Description:
Well, it's been quite awhile since we added a new stuff.
Well the reason is the staff went through the site and catogorized what we had and what we need, that and plus an Admin went rogue and started deleting stuff.

Anyhow, there's no way to make-up for the time that was needed except. To get to work.

(Also, no posts about Yay a new file! otherwise they'll be deleted.)

Here we have an Oldie but Goldie.

Fear was sent to us by PsyKore of PlanetAVP, thanks alot for your submitions.

As you tread through this map you'll find yourself stopping every few minutes. Whether it's to recharge your Flashlight or because you heard a noise behind you. You'll also be amazed at the diversity and detail of each new room. Fear is made to do one thing, terrify you! And if it's late night and all your lights are off, it will do just that. Your motion tracker will constantly go off, you could be recharging and suddenly you hear a hiss and then a white blip on the tracker is right behind you swing around and turn on your lamp and see nothing there. Only to get skewed from behind.


This map is a great addition and thow very short, it is highly recommended.
Oh and be warned ammo is scarce! (but that's great for those of us who like challenges.)

4) Installation

1. Extract the Fear Dat file to the "Fox/AliensVsPredator2/Maps/Worlds/Custom" folder.
If you don't have those folders - Maps/Worlds/Custom - in your AvP2 dir, then create them.

2. Start AvP2.exe and type in the command line "-rez maps" (without quotes), then check 'always
specify these command paramiters'

3. Choose the 'Fear' level from the 'Custom' option in 'Single Player.'

6) Notes

This level was tested, and ran silky smooth, on a 1.3Ghz P4 with a 64MB GeForce2 Ultra. So any computer
faster than that will have no problems running this map.

wow just downloaded this one after fear 2.0

another scorcher. i love the beginning when the alien runs past... reminded me of the movie but i guess that was the intention!

thanks again for these. to think this was made 4years ago and its still giving loads of fun. can't think of many other games with such a quality. Two Thumbs Up!

I played Fear 2.0 and loved it. Played Fear 3.0 and wanted more (is there an update)? Played this one and got stuck. I'm in that area where you have to shoot the door with a grenade launcher (it's the chamber where you get that verbal warning about being in an unauthorized area or something). Once I got passed that door, there was no going back (the door wouldn't open again) and I can't find another way out. Anyway, good effort - 7/10
