This mod changes many aspects of the game to give it more movie-like feel, and make the gameplay more intense.

Weapons were significantly changed, player classes changed and redefined. New player classes are present, and new music, skins, sounds and characteres are introduced. Most of the sounds come from the movies and AvP Gold, but there are also a few sounds from Soldier of Fortune.

Survival Of The Fittest is a mod for Aliens vs Predator 2 that I have created being very disappointed with the original settings of this great game.

I made this mod just for the sake of it, and for fun of course. My goal was to create an intense multiplayer experience and feel that would be closer to Alien/Predator movies. Therefore this mod does not pretend to be realistic in every aspect, as the movies themselves are not realistic at all.

This mod was also not meant to be balanced in any particular way. The movies were not balanced for sure, and, let's face it, humans had some very hard times with aliens and predators. In this mod human weapons are powerful, but people will get best results when they cooperate. SOTF is especially meant to be played in team deathmatch. Of course you can play it in other gameplay modes and even in single player, but it was designed with TDM in mind. The ideal set of players would be something like this:

1 or 2 predators, 4-6 marines/corporates and 2-4 aliens.
So aliens, and especially humans, should rather work in teams while predators would be more of lonely hunters.

In this mod the gameplay is fast and furious. Pretty brutal experience, but also a lot of fun. :-)

Here are some basic changes that were made:

* All species are faster, especially Aliens.
* Most weapons do more damage.
* No crosshairs at all. (only for railgun when in zoom mode)
* No homing weapons, except for the disc.
* No decloaking weapons.
* Remote bombs changed into shurikens
* Player classes were renamed and redefined.
* With class weapons on every player has only four weapons, regardless of his class.
* Almost all players were given new skins.
* Many weapons were given new skins.
* Some sounds were replaced and some sounds were added.
* New taunts, especially for brand new classes, appeared. 5 taunt sets for marines, 4 taunt sets for corporates.
* Settings of location based damage were altered. Hand or feet shots will do almost no damage.
* Multiplayer death messages were altered.
* Many changes also affect single player.

So, for more specific info go and see what changes you can expect for your favorite species!

I hope you will enjoy playing Survival Of The Fittest as much as I enjoyed making it.
