Description:
This Mod will allow you to play the official SP missions with a teammate or possibly a squad.Problems will arise {mainly on the marine mission}getting trapped behind doors,and the marine mission's opening sequence when "Frosty" gets seperated can cause problems.
Also a marine and predator can team up to fight Aliens!
The mod also includes some new custom maps with mini sp missions.
New sound effects and other sweet additions have been included..well worth the download and hopefully more will come

X-CoopMod for Aliens Vs Predator 2 Beta 2.5
READ THIS FILE, IT’S VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD COOP GAME
1. Introduction
Thanks for downloading X CoopMod, I hope you have fun with this Mod. This is only a Beta release, I’m still testing it so some updates will be released when I fix existing bugs.
X Coop Mod is created for MP Games. If you’re bored with DM, TDM, and the other MP modes, here you have some diferent things.
This mod includes new game functions and characters to make the game more like Aliens movies.
FIRST: YOU MUST INSTALL ALL SP MAPS FROM THE GAME.
Just run the “InstallMaps.bat” In your \X-Coopmod folder
Note: You’ll need 300mb of additional free space
2. Features
- PROJAM ALIENS v2 for characters, attachments and weapons.
- Eight USCM, seven predators, seven mercs plus the ExoSuit characters
available to select.
- Added queen, facehugger & chestburster.
- New skins (all by Eradicator, Quovadis & PROJAM TEAM).
- Voice-Chat now available! (Audiogamer)
- New custom graphics for menu and loading screen.
- New MP Mode: Cooperative (play like in the movies with your friends).
- Helmet, FlashLight and Headset added for all marines and mercs.
- New music and sounds for the menu and the weapons.
- Exosuit now available (good for Infantry Support in hard missions).
- New character Specific weapons and custom weapons. Now the USCM have
functions (FE: Hicks is the specialist, he can Hack computers with his
Hacking Device, but he don’t have a Blowtorch, so he needs the support
of a marine with a Blowtorch (Ferro).
- Modified some weapons damage.
- New taunt sounds.
- Marine Hacking Device, Blowtorch and Predator Hacking Device available.
- ALL Marine and Predator SP Levels for Multiplayer + some custom maps.
- Fight with aliens, predators or marines, controlled by the computer.
- More ammo added.
- Available to play with OTHER custom Coop maps!
- Added new custom maps (Pred Hades, Hades II, Gladiator, Ivan Missions,
Morpheus Base, Sno-Ball Pred 1, Doome1m1)
- Changed Aliens hit points (more hard to kill).
- Slowed down marines.
3. How to install
Run the *.exe file, install the game into your AvP2 directory (if you’re reading this, you have done it), run the X-“Coop Mod Beta 2.0” executable file or start the game with this line:
-rez X-coopmod
Go to Multiplayer, select Cooperative and choose a map
FOR MAP MAKERS: YOU CAN MAKE COOP MAPS TOO! Just make Multiplayer maps with enemies. To play with custom coop maps you must install the *.dat files here:
x-Coopmod/Worlds/multi/teamDM/
Note: X-Coopmod folder is in the avp2 game folder. Be sure it’s there!

Voice-Com system (how to use)
1) Run audigamer.exe (in your Avp2 folder)

3) (Check that you have installed your microphone correctly)
DEDICATED SERVER:
1. Run the game and set up the game (number of players, options, list of maps, species,...).
2. Run Avp2serv.exe (it's on your avp2 folder)or start a “dedicated server game” from the multiplayer screen.
3. If you want to modify the game options, go to serverdata/ and open the *.txt file.
4. Known bugs
- The maps are not made for MP, this means that the players must stay toghether and, if it’s possible, don’t die.
- Sometimes the sky or the map “dissapears” (?)
- When a player finish the map it loads the next map, but not for MP, so the game ends.
- The cinematics don’t work very well and some anims are missing.

6. Tips
- You can play with the Specific Weapons per character mode. If you turn it on, you must know that not all the marines have Hacking device or blowtorch, required for some levels . All preds have the Hacking Device.
- For a good game, turn Friendly Fire off (important.
- The Exosuit is use as a Infantry Support for the USCM team but it’s a Merc, this means that players can hurt the Exosuit in Coop games. Be careful.
- The first thing that the players must do is to wait the rest of players. I recommend to make a private game.
- There are some levels that can be played with both species (Marines and Predators), but remember that the marines cannot jump too hight and the Predators don’t haveBlowTorch.
- I recommend to restart or finish the map at the end of the level.
- TIPS FOR SOME LEVELS:
COLATERAL DAMAGE
- The Marines (except the host) will get stuck behind the APC. The Host must select a marine to open doors with the Hacking Device and the Blowtorch and he cannot die. The rest of players must select predator to jump the APC.
A LONG DETOUR
- If the players are not toghether, the doors can separate the Team (I mean stucked doors)

LOOSE ENDS
- Don’t kill marines, if you kill a marine, you’ll fail the mission.
- The last elevator will kill all players except the Host.
SAVIOR 1
- Players must stay alive all the game, if a marine dies he’ll not be able to continue playing.
SAVIOR 2
- The map will dissapear after the Queen dies
UNWELCOME GUEST
- If a player dies, the mission will be acomplished.
